The White Mortgages Lincoln & District Sunday Football League Management Committee wishes to place on record their sincere thanks and gratitude to Lincoln City Football Club for their most generous sponsorship of the League’s 4 domestic Cup Finals this Season and for allowing those Finals to be played at Sincil Bank.
The special experience gained by all involved in these games provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to all involved with those teams and everyone at Lincoln City deserves immense credit for making this a dream come true for the teams and their followers.
A special thank you is extended to Mr Liam Scully, LCFC Chief Executive Officer, for making this happen, and to Mr Nicky Cowley who so kindly attended as the special guest of the League on Sunday 12th May to present the Fred Quibell Junior Cup to Morning Star FC, the winners of the competition.
All of the players involved are keen Lincoln City Supporters and the opportunity to meet and have their photographs taken with Nicky was an experience that they will never forget. The League must also go on record in saying that Nicky ensured that the experience was available to all in attendance as anyone watching the game was also afforded the opportunity of having their photograph taken with their hero at the end of the game. What a fantastic gesture by Nicky and words cannot sum up the gratitude that the League extends to Nicky and the Football Club for all that they have done for our League in support of our local Sunday football.
These Finals and the experience gained by all of the teams involved show what a fantastic Community based Club the City of Lincoln and the County of Lincolnshire is so very lucky to have. Well done Lincoln City and thank you all so very much.
