As many are aware Andy suffered a ruptured / snapped achilles tendon on Friday whilst referring a charity match.
He has asked me to post the following message on his behalf:
“Just like to pass on my thanks for all the get well soon messages received from those involved in the local Sunday football scene, and those who have suffered this type of injury themselves. Some have come from the most unlikely of sources !! Just shows what a tight knit group there is within local football”
I am sure that I speak for the entire Sunday Football League when I wish Andy a speedy recovery from what is obviously a very nasty injury. The League Management Committee wish Andy all the best and lets hope it is not too long before this excellent and much respected referee is able to start blowing his whistle in our games again!
