The League Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 30th June 2022 and the Clubs voted, by a majority, to have Four Divisions next Season and not the previous Five. Consequently there will not be a Division Four next Season.
The League Constitution will see a total of 51 teams competing next Season with 12 teams allocated to the Premier Division, and 13 teams allocated to each of Divisions One, Two, and Three.
This means that teams competing in the League’s Premier Division will have 22 League matches to play. Teams competing in the remaining Divisions will each have 24 League matches to play.
The amendments needed to the League’s Cup Competitions will see changes to the eligibility of teams able to compete in both the Fred Quibell Junior Cup, and the Jock Mitchell Memorial Trophy.
The Fred Quibell Junior Cup will now see ALL teams in Divisions One. Two, and Three required to enter ONE team only.
The Jock Mitchell Memorial Trophy will now see ALL RETURNING teams competing in Divisions Two and Three required to enter One team only. NEW teams to the League this Season are NOT eligible to enter this competition in accordance with the League’s Cup Rules.
The website has been updated with all of the team information required for teams to contact all other teams. Just click on “League” then the “Division” then the team required to view where the team plays, their colours (home kit) and Secretary contact details.
As soon as ALL teams have completed FA Affiliation then the Cup Draws will be made and the fixtures for the new Season worked out and published.
The Season will commence on Sunday 4th September 2022 and will conclude on Sunday 30th April 2023. There will be NO games played on Sunday 25th December 2022 and Sunday 1st January 2023.
PLEASE NOTE: Fixtures are worked out by using the FA Fulltime System Fixture calculator and this cannot be completed until EVERY team has completed its FA Affiliation. Any delay in publishing the fixtures will be purely down to the team or teams that are yet to complete the Affiliation process as the League is ready to go as soon as this process is completed.
