The League is saddened to hear of the untimely death of David Sampson of Ruston United.
Many of you will know David, or Dave, as he was known to most.
He played for a number of teams in our League over the years, but played as a Centre half, or in midfield, for Ruston United last Season and was registered to play for them again this term.
Dave’s passing, on Thursday 20th October, at the age of 32, serves to remind all of us that life can be all too short, and the League Management Committee sends its deepest sympathies and condolences to Dave’s family, friends, and to all at Ruston United at this dreadfully sad time.
Details of his funeral will be updated on here when they are known, assuming of course that his family are happy for me to share them.
