“A City United” – Christmas Edition available now

Friday 8th December saw Issue Five hit the shops, and it’s a bumper Christmas issue that is bound to keep you entertained over the festive period.

A list of where you can get it is below, but be quick as I’m already told it is selling fast!

There’s so much in here it’s hard to fit it all onto one post! If you’re an Imps fan then we’ve got a look back at 2017, we’ve got the brilliant EXCLUSIVE cartoon strip ‘The Cowley Method’ and a unique interview with former City player Darren Davis. Graham Burrell weighs in too with some great photography including a full-colour centre spread of Josh Ginnelly scoring against Notts County.

Away from our top senior side, Issue Five is a Women’s special with a look at our four City women’s teams. There’s an interview with Lincoln Moorland’s remarkable Carol Bogg, a stalwart of the local game, as well as a focus on Nettleham Ladies and their quest for promotion. Hykeham Town have a page in there too and there’s even mention of HBW Ladies as they look to join the big three.

We’ve got a look at Lincoln United’s autumn and winter so far and we speculate on what the festive period might bring the Whites. There’s nostalgia too with a look back at 1964/65 for the Imps as well as full colour coverage of the day an England legend came to Lincoln.

We cover Sunday League too, this month we got along to watch Premier Division leaders Anglers take on Hykeham Town, Morning Star of Division Four comfortably beat Meg Reserves and we saw Old Boys and Rustons in cup action. Ian Stephenson had a chat with us too, he’s the Sunday League secretary and he spoke all about the league, where it is going and his hopes for the future.

We also have our exclusive ‘Secret Sunday League Manager’, an account of the trials and tribulations of the amateur footballer and manager. it is being met with critical acclaim and this week he talks about cheating linesmen: himself included!

That’s not enough? How about a look at the makers of the Lincoln City (Here We Go) CD? Nick Proctor examines the ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ campaign, we have the latest from Greenbank and Nettleham U18’s too as well as Hykeham Town JFC. Seriously, how can we get all of this into 44 pages?
