Due to the current weather conditions and the weather forecast overnight the League has postponed all League and Ron Eaglen Cup Quarter Final matches that were due to be played tomorrow (10th December). This decision DOES NOT include the Lincolnshire County Football Association County Sunday Cup ties that affect our teams as this Competition is out of the jurisdiction of the Lincoln & District Sunday Football League.
In taking this decision now it has been made in the interests of safety which includes the fact that all participants, including players and referees, will not have to travel in difficult, if not impossible, circumstances for the remotest of opportunities that their game may have been possible to play.
In the unlikely event that the heavy snow does not arrive and the even more unlikely thawing out of frozen pitches in time for 10.45am tomorrow then at that stage this decision may look questionable, however those chances are so slim and with the welfare of all our League participants being at the forefront of consideration this decision has been made now for the benefit of all.
