Following a series of pitch inspections carried out today in Lincoln and some surrounding villages, all revealing frozen pitches, and with temperatures set to struggle to get above freezing before Sunday, the League Management Committee have taken the early decision to postpone all of the scheduled League and Cup fixtures this Sunday.
The safety of players and match officials is paramount to the League.
The Kelly Read Cup games that are postponed this Sunday will now be rescheduled and an announcement made about when these will now be played will be made in due course. All of the League games will be rescheduled within the next week.
It is always disappointing to have to make decisions like this, particularly when it is the second week in succession, but common sense and safety must prevail with the safety of our players and Officials being uppermost in making this decision at an early stage so that everyone has the opportunity to make alternative plans should they so wish.
