This Season’s Fred Quibell Junior Cup Final will feature two teams from Division 1 of our League and what a cracker it promises to be!
The Ferryboat Inn FC will play North Scarle FC in the final at the LNER Stadium, on a date in May which will be announced as soon as it is known.
In the Semi Final matches played today, The Ferryboat Inn FC overcame the challenge of Birchwood FC by five goals to one.
North Scarle FC entertained Ruston Sports FC and ran out winners by four goals to one.
In the current Divisional table, North Scarle FC are joint top of the table on 28 points with The Ferryboat Inn FC hot on their heels, 6 points behind but with two games in hand. Neither side has yet reached the “half-way” stage of the Season, caused mainly by their respective successful Cup runs. Neither side has experienced defeat so far in the League this Season
Next week sees the two sides go head to head in the League, in what appears to be an intriguing contest. Whatever the result of the League game is next week, will it provide an insight on what may happen in the Final? I suspect not!!
