A Christmas Message from the League

Firstly I would like to take the opportunity on behalf of the League Management Committee to wish all of our teams, their families, and all of you that follow our League, a very Happy Christmas.

The League now has a 2 week break before scheduled fixtures re-commence on Sunday 9th January.

Going forward I am understandably being asked what the League Plans are after Christmas due to the Omicron issue. The answer is that the League continues to monitor the situation and will, at all times, be advised by the FA on what we, as a League, are encouraged to do be that playing, or suspending playing, depending on Government advice.

That advice, for now, is that there is no reason not to play, but as we all know the current situation fluctuates almost daily and none of us know what may lie ahead with Government advice/instruction.

The National FA are advised by the Government Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport so if anything changes I will let you all know as soon as I hear. If any big decisions do need to be made about potential disruption to the Season I will canvas all teams for their views before any decision is made, as I did last Season.

In the meantime it is planned for continuation from 9th January as normal.

A Happy Christmas to you all and very best wishes for 2022!
