The League held an Extraordinary General Meeting tonight following the withdrawal of 5 teams from the league.
4 of the 5 teams were from the Premier Division of the League which caused the EGM to be called.
The Meeting unanimously agreed that after accepting the resignations of FC Lincs, Pals North FC, Peacock Inn FC, and Plough Lincoln FC the Premier Division would run with 6 teams with each team playing their opponents on 4 occasions during the season (two games at home and 2 games away from home). This will provide each competing Premier Division team with a total of 20 League fixtures and will ensure that each game is played against Premier Division opposition.
The League Secretary wishes to place on record the thanks of the League Management Committee to all of the Clubs in attendance with just two Clubs not represented. The absentees will be dealt with by the League Management Committee when they next meet. The EGM was thoroughly debated and considered resulting in a proactive approach to ensure the integrity of the Premier Division is maintained.
The season will start as scheduled in 12 days time on Sunday 7th September 2025 and necessary adjustments will be made over the coming days to relevant fixtures in the Premier Division in order to limit the disruption to the matches to be played by the Premier Division teams.
League Secretary.
