Hykeham Memorial FC are the 2021/2022 Season Jock Mitchell Memorial Trophy Winners after they defeated Divisional rivals Shakespeare Imps 5-1 at the LNER Stadium on Thursday 5th May 2022.
The game finished all square at 1-1 after the regulation 90 minutes, and the 150 or so crowd were richly entertained and treated to a very well contested game between two sides who have finished second and third respectively in Division three of the League. Hykeham Memorial edged the League placings by one place and 4 points over the 20 game Season.
The League sends its congratulations to both teams for the manner in which the game was contested and to Hykeham Memorial for their winning of the trophy.
A special mention too for the Match Officials, under the Leadership of Referee Mr Karol Kaminski, as their performances added to the quality of the game which was enjoyed by all in attendance.
